About Us
Baldock SEND Families started because too many parents and carers in our area were figuring out the SEND system on their own, often at the exact moment they most needed someone who understood. We’re building a community founded on lived experience: real parents, sharing what they’ve learned, so no one else has to start from scratch.
We’re a peer-led group, currently in the process of becoming a Community Interest Company (CIC), which will let us grow sustainably while keeping our purpose locked in place for the community we serve.
Baldock SEND Families has been set up by local parents of SEND children. We’re currently building our Volunteer Group. Please see “Get involved” if you think you can help.

If you’re a SENCO, GP, health visitor, or work with families, we’d love to be somewhere you can confidently point a family. We’re a local, parent-led group, which means the support on offer comes from people with lived experience.
